Raised in Winnipeg Manitoba, where Doug went to Scientific Marvel, is just the start of his highly accomplished hairstyling career.

Master Stylist, renowned colorist and an inspirational trainer, Doug knows what works but most importantly what doesn’t. Doug’s driving motivation is to give his clients the absolute best. His ongoing training and research shows this in all of his creations.

Being in the industry for 17 years Doug has built himself a stellar reputation for his exceptional and innovative cutting and coloring skills. Doug believes it’s simply about serving our clients and contributing to the beauty industry.

Holly van Rootselaar Stenberg

Co-Owner, Esthetician/Makeup Artist

Raised here in Grande Prairie, this is her home and she is proud to live here and be a part of this ever-growing and friendly city.

Holly graduated from Marvel College in 2000 and has been growing in knowledge and challenging herself for the past ten years. Holly is very passionate about her career. She has developed an expertise in providing innovative skin services that focus on every day factors that affect our skin. Her focus is to educate her clients, since knowledge is the best weapon in identifying products that work. Her client base derives mostly from referrals, which demonstrates that she gives her all while giving treatments or recommending products.

Her most important goal is to make others feel good inside and out, as well as look their best.  She believes with the right combination of professional treatments, a consistant home regime and a healthy lifestyle, we can all achieve this.

Joanna Elwood

Senior Stylist/Colorist

Joanna has recently moved to Grande Prairie and joined us at The Look. Jo’s journey into the hairdressing world started when she moved to England ten years ago. She was trained in a prestige salon environment receiving all of her qualifications eventually receiving the classification of Senior Design Stylist – the highest level attainable.

Jo became a successful, determined stylist with a flair for her craft. She gained further international experience while working aboard a luxury cruise ship line. This enabled Jo to work with different hair types and nationalities.

Upon returning to England from working on the cruise line, Jo joined a renowned salon – Altered Image. While at Altered Image, Jo received many accolades including Stylist of the Year in 2007.

Two years ago Jo returned Canada. She continued to work in hairdressing and obtained her diploma in the Social Service Worker program at Lambton College in Sarnia, ON.

Jo is looking forward to practicing her craft in a new location. She has outstanding listening skills and strives to ensure that her clients are receiving just what they want.
